Nancy Spears founded genconnectU to advance the careers of women around the world. The edTech company engages and educates global audiences by sharing the wisdom of world-class experts through online courses, live and virtual learning experiences.

The on-demand short-form video lessons empower women across generations to polish, proliferate and master the soft-skills essential to their career success.

Spears’s background includes marketing, corporate branding, digital media, video production, script writing, speech coaching, event design and education technology.

She is also the author of “Buddha: 9 to 5: The Eightfold Path to Enlightening Your Workplace and Improving Your Bottom Line.” Inspired by her meditation practice, the book offers ways to integrate value-based leadership into corporate America.

Her past clients included Eli Lilly and Company, SAP, Glaxo Wellcome Pharmaceuticals, MasterCard, Johnson & Johnson, Turner/Time Warner, Nike, AT&T, and AIG.

Spears has served on a variety of boards and non-profit organizations, including the Shambhala Mountain Center and the Children’s Health Foundation. She is a member of the Society of Fellows for the Aspen Institute.

Spears holds a B.A. in journalism with a major in public relations from West Virginia University. She lives in Dublin, Ireland, Aspen, Colorado., and New York City.

She enjoys writing, poetry, skiing, snowboarding, travel, hiking, biking and art.
