About This Expert

Elisa Camahort Page is the Co-Founder of Optionality, a community focused on rewriting the rules of work, because the “future” of work is now.

Prior to Optionality, Elisa was the Founding COO of BlogHer, Inc. She and her co-founders took BlogHer from grassroots movement to national women’s media brand. Through BlogHer’s community and business practices, and her own, Elisa has built community, scaled businesses, and championed inclusivity in words and action at the intersection of content, community, and commerce. After bootstrapping for two years, BlogHer raised four rounds of VC funding and achieved exit by acquisition in 2014, placing Elisa and her co-founders amongst a still-too-rare cohort of women founding teams.

Since moving on from the company that acquired BlogHer, in 2017, Elisa took on multiple C-level roles at very early stage start-ups, consulted with renowned non-profit and media organizations, and coached countless entrepreneurs, while building her speaking and writing practice.

Elisa’s past speaking engagements include TEDx, INFORUM at Commonwealth Club, 92nd Street Y, SXSW, DENT, DLD Women, U.S. Embassy Moscow, and the headquarters of Coca-Cola, Google, LinkedIn, and Logitech. Her work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Mashable, San Jose Mercury News, and FoxNews.com. And she co-authored Road Map for Revolutionaries: Resistance, Activism, and Advocacy for All, an Amazon #1 new release in Political Advocacy, with Carolyn Gerin and Jamia Wilson.

In addition to co-leading Optionality, Elisa is the host of the podcast, The Op-Ed Page with Elisa Camahort Page and the curator of the This Week-ish newsletter. Elisa serves on the board of directors of the NanoSteam Foundation and Our Hen House. She is also an Astia Advisor and longtime member of the SXSW Interactive programming committee.
