Dr. Anne Brown, PhD, in her private practice, has served as the trusted advocate and advisor to many as a specialist in addictions. As she conveys in Backbone Power, it is obvious that we can no longer pretend that people-pleasing and addiction doesn’t exist; it is prevalent. Reality is, it won’t go away without taking necessary action and standing up to those who are masters at sabotaging your own growth.

Brown is also the author of Developing Your Backbone: The Science of saying NO.

Combining her own professional experience with that of her no-nonsense mentor, the former Chilean Minister of Finance, political prisoner of Pinochet and corporate business consultant, Dr. Fernando Flores, Brown uses a methodology that helps people reveal their blindness’s and learn to speak authentically thereby decreasing their suffering and increasing their dignity and authenticity. Brown has been described by one client as “having a very caring way of going for the jugular.”

Since being in Aspen, Brown has developed a private results oriented practice. With her therapeutic intervention, her clients develop the tools to become their own self advocates. She served as a Radio Talk Show Host for KAJX on Aspen Public Radio, from 1999–2006 interviewing people following their dreams.
