Alice Hill is a research fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution. She previously served at the White House as special assistant to President Barack Obama and senior director for resilience, leading the creation of national policy regarding preparing for the impacts of climate change. Prior to joining the White House, Hill served as senior counselor to the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. She was an ex officio member of the Third National Climate Assessment. Hill has also served as a judge on the Los Angeles Superior Court and as chief of the white-collar crime unit in the Los Angeles US Attorney’s Office.
